Sesame Crusted Tuna Steak On A Bed of Sticky Stir Fry Veg

A trip to the supermarket last night led me to the fish section. I'm not a big fish eater really. I like prawns and Smoked salmon but I can't stomach cooked/roasted/grilled salmon & the only cod I like is battered and next to a side of chips.
I'll be the big man and admit I've not given any other types of fish a chance because as a kid I didn't like it very much. The smell reminded me of the dodgy side of the beach (you know the side, the place where you find all the dog mess) and the texture was to blergh for me....
But I have always loved Tuna. I love the smell of it in a sandwich, it reminds me of primary school & summer lunches sitting with my friends. I like it's meaty texture & I like the fact it's flaky too.

This recipe isn't really mine. I picked up the packet containing the steak, not really sure at all what I was going to make from it, and I saw this little "serving suggestion" tip on the packet.
Why not brush with sesame seeds before cooking?
Why not indeed, that sounds delicious! What a coincidence that I bought a pack of sesame seeds the other day too, it's like fate or something. Tuna crusted fate.
Ready in less than ten minutes, only a few ingredients. My favourite type of dish on a sunny Monday evening. I think this dish would probably go well with a big heap of egg fried rice too. Even just some mango & brown rice would go quite well.
But I made it with a stir fry because it was sunny outside and I wanted a light meal.
Made this way you will need:
Stir fry vegetables
Tablespoon of Soy sauce
Teaspoon of Honey
Chinese five spice
100ml Fish or vegetable stock
1 Tuna Steak
2-4 teaspoons of Sesame Seeds
Top with either creme fraiche or Sweet chilli sauce
1 teaspoon Olive oil or toasted sesame seed oil
Brush the tuna steak in your oil of choice before coating in sesame seeds. Set a pan to high & cook the steak according to the instructions on the pack.
In another pan (I know, so much washing up!) set to high and cook the stir fry vegetables for a few minutes.
In a little jug, add the stock, five spice, soy sauce & honey together and add a tablespoon of boiling water, mix well before popping in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Then pour over the vegetables. Continue to cook on high for a few minutes.
Serve the vegetables into a dish & place the cook Tuna steak on top. Sprinkle a few sesame seeds over and spoon either a dollop of creme fraiche or a drizzle of Sweet chilli sauce over the top.
